Amount Lien in SBI Bank from More than 2 Years

01-Mar-2023 (In Recovery Law)
Hello, during lock down i sold mobile phone to someone. He sent me 90000 rupees in my bank account. After 2 days the amount got blocked and marked as lien in my bank account. After visiting branch they told me that bank has received a complain regarding that transaction. I called that person and his number was switched off. Since 2 years that amount is lien in my bank account. I have sent so many emails to the bank asking for the copy of the complaint. They never responded. What should I do now? The bank is SBI.

1. Approach the cyber cell department of your jurisdiction and lodge a written complaint.
2. The person who transferred the money to your bank account has probably lodged a complaint of fraud against you, which is why the amount is marked as lien.
3. Obtain a copy of the complaint lodged.
4. File case for recovery of amount along with interest and penalty.

Dear Client,
If the bank is not responding and not providing any complaint copy to you then first you should hire a lawyer who will coordinate with the bank on your behalf to release your money failing which legal proceedings may be initiated against the bank and its concerned branch manager.
Contact me for releasing your money from the bank.

If they are not listening to you then you have to serve them a legal notice and in that notice you can write either justify your actions with the copy of the complaint and give me the right to use my money. If want to go legal then you can forward a written complaint to the PS of your area. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

You need to hire an advocate to send legal notice to bank and the concerned police station ! Bank only lien the account when they receive any complaint via cyber cell !
If police have filed the chargesheet in this matter we need to file application in the concerned court !

Since the information and complaint pertains to money in your account, and considering the State Bank of India is a PSB, you may try filing an RTI to retrieve the information you are seeking, i.e. the copy of the complaint that led to the lien.
