A friend promised me seat and took money now he is not returning it.

A friend of mine promised me he will get me a seat in IIT and took 10 lacs in 2019.Now in 2023 he is saying that he can’t give me a seat in IIT and also he will not return my money.sir please give me some advice.

First of all rather than going legally you should serve him a legal notice and in that notice you can write that either pay my money or face legal action which will be at your own risk. After that if he fails to give you a satisfactory reply then you can anytime file a recovery suit in the court to claim your money back along with compensations. Dear Client, You can start the legal machinery by a Police Complaint. This is a case of fraud and cheating. You have to fight this legal battle with utmost hardwork as you have paid the money to the accused for such a favour which is not legally accepted. Hope this helped you

you can file a police complaint against the cheating of that amount If the amount is transfer through the account then can be the countdressibility or If the cash amount was given there is a requirement of a witness who had given that amount in presence of your friend then you can go for FIR against
