A family friend of mine took 10lakhs and mortgaged his property

A family friend of mine took 10lakhs and mortgaged his property (33sqyd) but no repayments were done since 2years, what can i do to recover my money, every time he is promising me to sale or register his property but since than no response from his side. Please advice what to do to recover my amount

Do u have any agreement in which it mentioned you had given 10 lakhs and he mortgaged the property and do have any receipt that you paid 10 lakhs to him like online payment receipt then we can help in getting that amount, approach us we will help u

You should immediately issue a legal notice to him demanding repayment or registration of the mortgaged property in your name. If he fails to comply , you can find money recovery suit and also seek enforcement of the mortgage in Civil Court . Court can order attachment or sale of his property to recover your amount .Do not rely only on verbal promises initiate legal proceedings at the earliest to secure your rights .
