Where to inquire about PWD rules and guidelines

01-Jun-2023 (In Property Law)
Hello Sir, in our area PWD road is 110 Feets. Among 110 feet, concrete 40 feet. Rest part noyonjoli (water drain or canal). This is in village area. Land owner sold me the rest land from end of PWD area. Now i want to build building in my purchase land. But I have to make a 15 feet width path from my land to PWD main road over PWD area. In this situation a problem arise from past land owner. He is telling , I have to pay him for that path. Because I don't pay for PWD area. My question is Whose right's to use PWD area. Or have to pay to past land owner for that area. Thanks

Before purchasing a piece of land one should check the road connectivity.Without perusing the Deed of conveyance of the property including the mother deed, it would not be appropriate to suggest any course of legal action to you.If you are in need of my professional assistance , contact lawRato for further instructions.

As I could understand, you have purchased the property beside the PWD Road and between the oad and your land, the nayanjuli exists. If the land/nayanjuli beside your property belongs to the PWD, your previous land owner cannot sell or do anything with it even after taking money from you. Kindly note that you always have the right to use the pathway connecting your land to the approach road and this is called the easementary right no person or authority can deny such right and you dont have to pay anything for that. If you want to purchase any part thereof, talk the the Assistant Engineer, PW(Roads) of your locality. Many of my clients got relief in such ways. All the best. Regards
