What are rights of a daughter (only child) on her father's property
03-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
My mother is only daughter (no sons) to my grandfather. He passed away without a WILL. All my grandfather's property is self acquired. What are the rights of my mother on this property? - Does my mother have to share it with her children? (son and daughter) - Is she the absolute owner of such property?
As your grand father has died intestate the property will automatically goes to the immediate legal heir like your grand mother and your mother. You children can also claim your right as your grand father has died intestate.
Your mother becomes absolute owner of the property on the demise your grand father.
Till your mother alive her son and daughter have no right on the property, however she can gift the property to herr son and daughter as per her choice.
Till your mother alive her son and daughter have no right on the property, however she can gift the property to herr son and daughter as per her choice.
If your mother is only daughter (no sons) to her father who has passed away elaving self acquired poperties without a WILL, then all the properties become your mothers, she does not have to share it with her children as the absolute owner of such property.
