It depends on the nature and severity of the mental illness. However if the mental illness itself intermittent then sale deed executed by the person suffering from mental illness while she is mentally sound and concious is valid. In general, property of a woman is well protected by law, and she doesn't need consent from anybody as long as there's no illegality.
