Transfer of ownership of house property by will

Sir, My father is died in 2019, I have his will for the flat where I resides in Pune City from near about 21 years. In that will he mentioned to give this flat in the name of me. But yet I have not get transferred the ownership in my name. Is there any period limit to transfer the ownership, what is process and which documents required for it.

you have to probate the will of your father. the succession rights come through probate which is granted by the District judge or the High Court . Will creates vestee interest but it is required to be probated. you have not mentioned whether flat is in CHS . as per new amendment in 2019 it is mandatory for succession certificate
