All the documents need to be checked. First question is, as per will, can your brother's son entitled to sell the property? If the property is situated in Chennai then the will needs to be probated. EC can be obtained through the sub-registrar office or online. Flow of title must be checked.

regarding this case you get help from an advocate with your local area and Gate you go and meet the Inspector of police of the concerned police station address what is the case registered what is the problem and if there is no case make a compromise Li under particular date so as per there is no FIR against you then nearly asking you for your enquiry it is illegal offence or offence related to the complaint given by somebody no one can ask you to go to the police station with the help of the Advocate to sort out all the problem
