The procedure of rectification in a Sale Deed

16-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
Hi, I registered my apartment last year and the flat number was mentioned as per the marketing brochure e.g Type A but as per Supplementary JDA the flats have actual codes like A5 (105). So in order correct the information from saying flat apartment bearing "Type A" to "A5 (105)" what do i need to do? Please help guide me - thanks!

You could correct the error through a rectification deed. This rectification deed has to be enetered into with the same parties to the sale deed . Subsequently the rectification deed should be registered at the sub -registrar that the sale deed was registered at.

You can contact the concerned jurisdictional sub registrar office with the copy of your sale deed for rectification. For that you can consult advocate who will draft rectification deed in an stamp paper and get it registered at the sub registrar office.
