Hi myself n wife own a flat. I m the first owner n wife is second and she want to release property rights on my name. What will be release deed charges of stamp duty n lawyer fees?

Stamp duty and registration charges will vary from state to state as per the state act. In Maharashtra, if your wife want to transfer her share in your name in the jointly owned flat she has to gift it to you by registered gift deed.

gift deed is best option for you if she gifted , then 200 stamp and 200 registration fee. further in what location you are residing will decide about thw local body tax and cess imposed by the governmnet. provided property shoild be self acquired
