Signed lease agreement with roommate, now threatening to throw me out

25-Mar-2023 (In Property Law)
I am currently on a lease with 2 other roommates. One in the roommates is threatening to put all of my belongings out of the home. What steps should I take if this should happen?

As it appears from your question you are on lease agreement with your roommates. I would like to have a clarification from you in this regard. Is there any lease agreement between you and your lessor or landlord?was it permitted to do sub-leasing according to that agreement? Also if you are having valid authority to do such sub leasing and then if your roommate is threatening to throw you out then you can initiate legal action against such roommate.

It seems that you along with other 2 roommates are co-lesees and terms and conditions of the lease need to be examined to answer your question. However prima-facie he can not throw out your belongings. You can file a complaint about the matter with local police. In case you wish to contact me with lease deed you may do so through this website.
