Seller brother refusing to vacate the house

01-Mar-2025 (In Property Law)
I purchased a property in June 2024 and granted the seller three months to vacate as requested. However, after the agreed period, the seller’s brother is refusing to vacate and is demanding ₹40 lakhs to leave. He has also sent me a legal notice claiming that he contributed money towards the property's purchase 15 years ago, though his name does not appear on any official documents such as the sale deed or Encumbrance Certificate (EC). How should I handle this situation?

First thing is time is essence of contract so don't delay issue legal notice through an advocate strongly and get an opinion on sale agreement clauses, work on speedy remedy instead of dragging matter for years , discuss with seller. Explore ssolutions for problem
