Seller absconding to Execute Rectification Deed

I need to change only Direction East to west in my Sale Deed. Have requested the previous seller to come and execute Rectification deed 100 times. But he is not willing to come thinking its waste of his time of no mistake from his side. Is it possible for him to not care even if Court sends him notice ? or what will happen if he doesnt turn up to court hearings?
Have you already filed any petition in court in this regard against that person?
If not you have to send a legal notice through lawyer and then ask him to come and do regsitration of same for rectification of mistake and take it further if required.
