Right of the son on fathers property

I'm a Hindu. Sir, I have completed intermediate. My father was a sadist and drinker. He was telling me that he will not give money for my postgraduate and telling me to get out of the house . Can I had any change to file a case on him for the property of my father which I can use for my studies ? Please help me sir I want to educate more I love studies

Hi
if it is an ancestral property (grand father's property) then you can file a case on your father.
if it is your father's self acquired property then your father can do whatsoever he wishes to do with his property.
so, you need to first confirm whether the property is self acquired or ancestral.
Also you can also file for attachment of your father's salary for your college education if you are under 18 years of age.

IF THE PROPERTY IS SELF ACQUIRED:
children can not claim property and according his wish he can use the same

IF THE PROPERTY IS ANCESTRAL
1. children will get equal share
2. even the property sold also they can claim their share in the property
