remove wife name from joint house

i bought a house and had registered it jointly in my and wifes name. i want to remove wife name from joint house. there is no loan. i am married hindu.
If u want to remove your wife's name from the joint property, then u have to execute a document called Deed of Gift and get the 50% ownership right transferred in your name.
The said Deed of Gift has to be registered with the concerned sub-registrar of Assurances, if the Deed of Gift is not regiatered than the wife ownership right will not get transferred.
After the Deed of Gift is registered the husband will acquire one hundred percent ownership and transferable rights.

To address your query on removal and deletion of your Wife/ Spouse's name from the flat title can be done quite easily.
You need to have a registered Gift Deed to be executed between both of you. the said Gift Deed as per latest amendment will only attract a very low Stamp duty and routine registration charge.
The entire process can be completed in one week, subject to Registration process gets done.
once the title gets confirmed in your name you may thereafter get the title deed being send to your Society for getting the changed effected in Society register.
