Relatives threatening to not sell the share of land

13-Nov-2023 (In Property Law)
I am Hindu. Before the death of my father, he and his brother amicably with the help of Panchayat divided their ancestral property and now my mother is wanting to sell our share of land which we got in division ( we have document signed by my father and his brothers and people of Panchayat who amicably divided those property as well as Raseed of the property and other legal document) but they are threatening my mother that if we sell our share of property than we will have to face dire consequences like we will be imprisoned or other legal hindrances so what should I do in this case? Can I sell my share or not?

Dear sir,
If property has been already divided and legal documents are in your favor your mother and you can sell your share.
you can file FIR for threatening and also file a partition suit in the court in which jurisdiction property is situated.

Don't be panic. In view of the facts you have stated here, I don't think they have any legal right to harass you and your family. However, for further advice and positioning yourself legally strong , contact a good lawyer with all relevant facts and documents.
