Purchased property in mothers name does sister have any claim in it

23-Dec-2023 (In Property Law)
Religion : Hindu Sir, I purchased a property(new flat) in 2003 in chennai, and register in my mother name. Last year, my mother executed the gift deed and transferred the same flat to my name. When I sell this property in future, do I need to get any concern from my sister? Me and my sister are the only child to my parents. As of now the relationship is good with my sister, but not sure how long this will continue. If I need to get a concern, Can I get that concern/document signed from sister now, so that I can use it whenever I sell this property? Thanks for your help.

You received back the property, which you had earlier registered in your mother's name, by means of a gift deed. It has become your absolute property, and no one else has any claim over it legally, including your sister.

No need your sister's concern. You need to get concern document it will be not registered by any registrar office non registered document not valid in the court law hence don.t worry you sell your property in future

As per your statement your mother executed the gift deed in favor of you and based on that gift deed you can change the ownership in your name. When you purchased the flat you should have registered it in your name or whether the funds were provided by your mother .
