Property Will Inheritance . Need To Sell Property Based On Will
11-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)
My grandfather has a residential property. In will he has provided share (1 flat ) to my father. My father has expired. Can we sell the property based on the will or transfer it to any other family member. If yes how can we receive the amount and what will be the taxation on same.
You can successfully sell the property which was willed in your name. If the property comes under registry then the stamp duty is to be paid that varies between 4-6% of the total sale consideration. But the circle rate price must be taken by DD or cheque. For more information I am just a call away.
You can get the property mutated on the basis of will bur in order to understand the actual scenario of your case, I would request you to share some more information with regard to the said property and with regard to the taxation there are many ways to invest your money in such a way where you will not be required to pay a capital gain tax on sale of your property.
