Property documents not shared with me please help

30-May-2023 (In Property Law)
i am a non resident. I am trying to understand my current assets. However, my wife and mother in law (who was handling all our joint properties) and bank deposits are making excuses and not showing me the current status of my assets. The problem is- I do not have a copy of the POA executed in favor of my in-laws or the document of purchase of my properties. They are with my mother in law and not being shown to me even by phone pic.

Well, you can revoke such Power of Attorney if it is a Revocable one which you had granted in favor of your Wife and Mother in Law. However, if you can't get access to such Power of Attorney, try to remember whether such POA was Registered Or not. If it was registered, then you can get a copy of such POA from Registrar of Properties. If by using your POA, they have entered into a transaction with a Client or Someone, you can get access of such copy of POA from the Client, as they surely would have kept it as the record on the basis of which Property was sold to them or transaction was executed with the POA Holder.

Hello Sir, Have you executed registered POA in favour of your in laws? If yes then you can obtain copy of the same from registrar's office. If you wife and in laws are avoiding to give you details of your assets you can send them legal notice for the same. It is your legal right to know about your own property. For detail procedure and discussion you can contact me. Thank you.
