Property dispute harassment to senior citizen by neighborhood people

12-Oct-2023 (In Property Law)
My senior citizen parents who are 70+ are being threatened by our neighbour relatives over a property dispute case. My relatives also live in the same house. In one incident, over a trivial fight over meter, my father was pushed and fell to the ground by the opposite party son who is 40. I live in a different city because of work. What are the steps I can take to protect my parents safety? I am worried about their safety and life.

Hi,
You should Immidiately lodge a complaint in the concerned local police station.
Moreover on the next date of hearing in your property dispute case adress the same to the Hon'ble Court as well.

if there is a dispute in relation to the property follow a legal course of action but if somebody is threatening you than that is different matter nobody can take the law in his hands.you must file a criminal complaint against the culprit in the concerned police station and you may also reach directly to the SSP/DCP by way of application that they are assaulting and criminally intimidating you

As of now ,File a complaint against the son of opposite party in your nearby police station stating that your father was threatened by the son of opposite party and if any thing happens with him in future they will be held liable towards the same .

You may complain about the same before the police. Under Senior Citizen program, the concerned police may take care in the case of your father. Secondly, you may file an application under order 39 rule 1 and 2, CPC before the concerned court, where your civil case is pending, restraining the opposite party to not to disturb the peaceful possession of your father, and especially not to touch or shout loudly at your father.
