Procedure for transfer of property if property papers are lost

We are hindu. My grandfather has lost property papers.He has two sons and property is not transferred to either of them.Now he has become very old and counting on his days, so my father and uncle fear how to get papers in their name bcoz once he passes away ,they can face issue in having a claim.So please help me out ,my father and uncle they don't know much of legal aspects so I am writing on behalf of them.

The duplicate copy of all the property papers can be get from your concerned registry office. You approach the Ammen or kramchari of you circle office. He will give you details of your property and there after you can get duplicate copy from registry office.

Proof of one' s property is available and can be procura from several authority. If the nature of property is agriculture one , you can get the document from concerned anchal and if the property is urban in nature, you can get the same from concerned municipality
