Problems of co applicant in home loan

13-Dec-2023 (In Property Law)
I purchased a flat last year and got home loan for it. nThough I was completely eligible for home loan amount, they made me add t husband's name as co applicant saying it's mandatory etc etc. The property is registered only on my name and I paid every penny of it, even now complete emi is paid by men I'm not in good terms with my husband, so wanted to know what's his right on my flatI Just saw in his cibil report that he is marked as joint holder for my loanThis is not fair.

Your husband is joint borrower of the loan of flat but not a join to owner. The problem with this adding of his name in the Bank may affect you only while taking back your documents upon closing of the loan, as some Bank people insist on both of you signing to take back the documents . But legally he cannot pose any problem to you.

Since as per your statement the sale deed is registered solely in your name you will be the absolute owner of the property. It is immaterial about in whose name is the loan. Since even the loan is closed you need not worry about it.
