A PLOT WAS GIFTED TO ME AND MY TWO SIBLINGS THRU GIFT DEED BY MY FATHER AND KATHA OF THE PLOT WAS REGISTERED JOINTLY IN OUR THREE NAMES . SUBSEQUENTLY THE GIFT DEED WAS CANCELLED BY MUTUAL AGREEMENT.PLOT IS STILL IN OUR NAME. MY FATHER IS 86 YEARS OLD AND UNWILLING TO GET KATHA TRANSFERRED BACK TO HIS NAME.CAN THE CANCELLED GIFT DEED BE REVOKED OR FRESH GIFT DEED BE MADE? HINDU FAMILY
Sir, its a good question. Once gift registered itcan be cancelled. But, it shall not possible to revoke the cancelled gift deed. It is better to get fresh gift deed in case will have to execute gift deed.

You should get a new Regd. gift deed executed by your father. Also needs to be checked whether earlier gift deed was a regd. Document. If so cancellatio. Should also have been by way regd document. Later on transfer the katha as per document.
