Partition of land being ignored by family member

Is there another way to proceed with partition of land if one of the family member ignores/unwilling to co-operate with the idea.
the remady available is to file a partition suit before the competent court with a prayer to order a decree for partition of the properties and that is the legal remady available at the instance the parties are not amenable for partition

File petition before district legal services authority for amicable settlement. The authority will sent a notice to the other party and try for mediation with both parties. If not settled file suit before the concerned court.
