Neighbor threatening to file case for encroachment of boundry wall

maam i have purchased a property recently and it has not been mutated in my name yet the process is going on. another property owner just side to my plot has approached me and told that the boundary wall of my plot has encroached over his plot and threatening me to file a case against me. i just want to know maam if he files a case against me and the trial will continue still can i construct my house over the plot as i have purchased the plot to build my house. someone told me that if the side plot owner will file a case against my plot i cannot even put a single brick on my plot as a result i am very worried. please kindly help me to know is it true that if he file a case i will not be able to build my house. awaiting your precious reply maam.

Dear why you are so apprehensive. There cannot be a criminal case against you. Even if he files a case, it will be civil in nature.
Best thing possible now is, file a demarcation case before the Tahasildar. The amina will come and demarcate the land. You will be able to know if the plot which you have purchased is as per the records and patta.

You can get the property properly demarcated and get to know whether actually there is any kind of encroachment as alleged. If it is not encroaching then you surely have an option of restraining him from taking any adverse order against your property or you.
