Land & building jointly owned by 2 brothers

I and my brother own a land jointly. We have jointly constructed a G+4 house there. Now we want separate ownership of floors i.e. 2 floors for me and 2 floors for my brother. So that in future , I can sell my property independently.

dear client as per your query since you have joint property so you can apply for partition suit if you want separate ownership of the property so that in future you can sell your own property without any problem...

it can be done through a settlement deed registered at the registry office demarcating your actual physical possessions of the property, thereafter the same will help you not to create any hiderance to sell the property in near future
