Is RERA compulsory for ready to move in row villas

I am planning to buy a row villa which is ready to move in, possession date was 2016 . this property is not RERA registered, However Developer is claiming that RERA is not applicable for ready to move in. Is RERA mandatory to buy a ready to move in Villa, please advise

If the project has received OC then it would be excluded from the purview of RERA. Row houses also will have OC. Since they are construction is horizontal unlike the construction of apartment is vertical. Hence you have to check if the OC is received the project will not come under RERA.

sir in your question you do not mention the date, so Act is commenced from 2016 and within three months developer has liable to register before proper authority. If your transaction is come within that period registration is complusory one.
