Ilegal encroachment on public road

A hut is constructed illegally on the road opposite to my house ( past 30 years). Road is 30 ft width while the hut occupies 22 ft. We are facing so much trouble due to the encroachment.What is the fast and best legal recourse to evict them and demolish the hut

You can file a police complaint against the encroachers for creating nuisance and public hardship. In addition you can also file a complaint before the district collector and local revenue officials to remove the encroachment.

you must first approach the municipal corporation by way of giving the Representation that your road is illegally occupied and encroached by some other persons and the utility of the road is in question of illegal Hut in that place if the municipality authority has not take any action against it then you can approach the higher authority by way of giving return representation and even if that it is not working out you can directly approach the High Court of Madras for the illegal encroachment to be demolished
