How to verify the dag number of Eksona land in North Guwahati?

I have bought 2.5 bigha land in North Phulung area under North Guwahati. Its a Eksonia land where the original land owner (seller) claims that it has daag number. How can I verify that this land has the proper and genuine daag number as alloted by land survey department?
you can visit the circle office and ask about the said dag no. to the concerned mandal and he will surely help you out with the dag no given by the ex-owner of the eksona land you have bought. However you can ask the mandal about the said dag no and the plot of land regarding its history.
