28-Sep-2023 (In Property Law)
We have a flat in Surat which we want to transfer to my mothers name after my fathers death, can you please let me know how to go about with it? We have Legal Heir affidavit and family tree already made. What is the procedure for this in Surat along with documentation and time required ? For Hindu religion.

First of all take the test certificate of your father at the at the register office and kindly through the process muted that muted the death certificate of your father in entry and after that produce the relevant documents before the registrar and the name of your mother will be entered

Hi,

please specify the type of flat whether it is a CGHS or Builder floor ect .
If its a CGHS flat you need to give an application to the president of the society and file the necessary affidavits along with it and get it transfered in revenue records too .
If its builder floor simply get it transfered through the registrar office .

Thanks

If there is a Will executed by your parents it is easy to transfer the property in the names mentioned in the Will. Otherwise there is a procedure which you have to follow by taking consent of all the legal heirs if there are more than one. If you are the only legal heirs there is no problem
