How to get succession certificate

14-Nov-2023 (In Property Law)
My dad and mom own a flat in nashik. my dad died last year, so now i want to remove my dad's name from 7/12. But when i went to talhati office, he told me to bring varas dhakla / succession certificate from court. Is this the only way to remove dad's name from 7/12? Because to get succession certicate from court i have to pay stamp duty + some other taxes. So this is very expensive way. Is there any other way ?

I have perused the contents of your query and would advise you to seek a detailed consultancy from a lawyer having expertise. You have to apply for the succession certificate by filing a petition under section 372 of the Hindu Succession Act before the concerned court having jurisdiction.

You have to file a petition u/s 372 of Indian Succession Act to the court in jurisdiction of which your parents has taken last breath and then Judge will decide it and grant you the succession certificate.
Also cost of the same depends upon several things.
