Your husband is legal heir of your mother in law hence your husband has all the legal rights in the property. Through your husband you and your children's get property rights. You want to file partition suit in proper court to get the property.

Madam,

As per the personal law of your Husband he hold all the natural right over the property left by his father. Your husband marrying you can not be a reason to deny the lawful right of your husband. On plain reading of this brief facts, I don't think the transfer to your mother in law is done by following proper legal course. The ratio of shares receivable to each person of your husband family can be decided only on having the details of the case. It is premature to share the ratio without having proper facts about the case.
