Hello sir/MadamIam Manjunath from Bangalore,nTN Govt. Sanctioned a piece of land under Adi dravidar welfare scheme to my father's name around 30 years ago and we have the patta also for the sameOur father is passed away in the year 2003 without transferring the above said piece of land to any legal heirNow the VAO has conducted the survey in our Village and found that the land given by the govt. Is still vacant and asked us to build the home as soon as possibleSimultaneously he is asked some documents to transfer the said property to our nameWe have provided all the documents to him such as Legal heir certificate and caste certificate and Aadhar Card etc.,( All the documents are issued in Karnataka)Now the village Accountant is denying to transfer the property to our name because he is telling that he need the documents issued by the TN govt. Only Now the VAO is telling us that the land given by the govt will be revoked and cannot be transferred to our name.

Hi legally you are living in Karnataka and having all your documents issued by that government. Free land to deserving people are provided by all the state governments to ensure that they also enjoy the right to dwelling house as all others. In your case you cannot ask for a free land in Tamilnadu state while you actually are living in Karnataka. By this you are blocking a valuable opportunity to someone who is actually deserving and living in Tamilnadu. What the VAO said is legally correct.
