Grandfather had two wives how will the property get distributed

07-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
Dear Experts, My grandfather has two wives. He had one son (my 50+ years old father) by his first wife. First wife died due to medical condition when my father was five years old. My grandfather married with his second wife (alive now) then had one daughter and two sons. Now after my grandfather is died last year without leaving any will, his property has to be divided his children from first and second wife. Could you please guide us how much will be my father's share of my grandfather ancestral and acquired property. Thanks

All children from both wives and serviving wife have equal shares in the property left by grandfathet if thete is no Will left by the deceased. Any of the legal heirs can file suit for partition like your father or your grand mother making other LRs as defendants.

Respected Sir/Madam,
In your question, there is no any confusion. It seems to me that this legally marriage, reasons is that second marriage was accepted by the first wife of your grandfather and other family members. As per hindu succession act, all children of your grandfather have equal right if no will.
