General power of attorney for property purchase

Builder show me a 2bhk flat in chattarpur which is in a society (may be it's army society but we are normal family) but they told me they will provide me GPA- General power of attorney once registration start you will have to pay the registration charge and then it will register on your name ... What should I have to do ? Should I buy it ? or leave it?

General power of attorney doesn’t confer your title over the property. You should ask for registered sale deed. Property documentation should be such admissible in the eyes of law to claim any title. For any further legal assistance please feel free to contact Thanks

You must hire any advocate to check the entire chain, legalities, dispute on the property ! As well as the mutation of bses GPA house tax etc ..u r investing lakhs therefore its wise to include a law firm or advocate! Plz b in touch Thanks

A property transferred through GPA would not be a valid transfer as per the Transfer Property Act subject to certain exceptions like GPA to the family members. We advise you to seek a detailed consultation however prima facie we advise not to go for it
