Father paid bills of grandfathers property now others asking share
23-Nov-2023 (In Property Law)
We have a house on my grand father's name but all taxes like house, corporation, water, etc were paid by my father for more than 30 years. My father has 9 siblings(5 brothers and 4 sisters) all married and have grand children. None of the siblings have shared the responsibility to pay the taxes or property maintenance all these years. My father had spent all his savings on this property and has the documents as well. But today all my uncles, aunts and cousins are quarelling for a share. His health is not well recently. What should me and my sister do to get the property legally?
By paying taxes, you will not get right. At the most you can recover the money you spent legally from the other siblings. If you want to get the share of your father, you father has to gift the same to you or your siblings as per his wish.
You have not mentioned that how did your grandfather got the property, by self earnings or from his father. If the property is ancestral, then you and your siblings have legal right. Otherwise, the authority will be in the hands of your GF.

according to your version your father is paying all the taxes since 30years then your fathers other siblings have no right to claim over it. ultimately they have no right on it. if they harass by any other way you can file injunction against them for not interfering in your peaceful possession. for any other queries pls call me.
