hello client as you have mentioned tht your own 1 brother is trying to force the whole family for the sale of the family property. as the property belongs on your mother name .
so in the present situation your family is in great trouble i agree but been the family memeber of the whole family he has right in the family property as well but if the whole family is facing trouble due to one brother then you can get his share out from his rights legally then with the help of the court you can make your demanding brother out of the property where he will not have any rights in the property any more.

Properties are of two kind one is purchased by your own earned money and other one is ancestral property which you inherit apart from by Will which is also an other kind. Son/s can demand their share only in the Ancesterly inherited property which has come inheritance through his father but not to his mother from her maternal. As fas as self earned property son or daughter can not claim their share and for this kind and Willed property owner has absolute right to sell in whole or in part or to give it in whole or part to any body or further Will it as per his own choice and sweet will. In this case no body can compel her to give any share to him.
