If the property belongs to your parents and your brother has been living separately for the last four years, his wife cannot forcibly enter the house, break the lock or take possession merely on the ground that she is his wife. Your parents may lodge a police complaint regarding the forcible entry and damage to the lock. If the property is in your parents’ name, they can also seek appropriate civil relief for protection of possession and injunction. The exact remedy will depend on the ownership documents and circumstances.
