HI,
in the absence of any will by your grandfather if all the properties are self acquired by your grandfather
your father and his brother will get equal share in the property.
grandchildren will enter into picture if there is any ancestral property or any gift, will, conditional gift from the elders.
when your father is alive you can not ask for any share in the property.

Hi
If you are hindu's if the properties of your grand father will pass on to his legal heirs(grand mother, your father and uncle(father's brother).
Since these are self acquired properties of your grand father all of the legal heirs will have equal shares in the property.
In your case, grand children consent is not required if the legal heirs (Grand mother, your father and uncle(your father's brother) are alive in accordance to Hindu succession act.
Hope this helps.
