The sons and daughters have no right on the self acquired property on the father until his life time.... they acquire the right over the property only if the father dies intestate. So he is free to decide on the development of property

Being a self acquired property purchased out of his income, your father has every right to deal with and dispose off as he wishes during his life time. The question of legal heirship come into existence only after his lifetime.

The question of 'legal heir' arises only upon the death of a person, and not earlier. As you have stated that the property in question is your father's self-acquired, during his lifetime he is free to deal with it in any manner he wishes. No one else has any claim or share.

Of course no one has the right except your father to decide how to dispose the property. Since it is a self earned property your father have all the rights at his command to dispose of the same. If you are minor then of course you have a right of maintenance.
