Delay of home renovation work and contract agreement time has complete

Our contractor took our more money, but house renovation work are stopped, it was for 6 months contract from feb - august 2021.
You can seek assistance of court to get the additional amount received by the contractor and you can also seek compensation from the contractor for delayed work/incomplete work. Also can seek orders to compete the work already agreed

Any suggestion depends upon the terms of the contract which you have not disclosed. It is not even understood whether there is a written contract. It is also a moot question whether the entire amount has been paid. Of course, a legal action is possible, but it may not be prudent unless the amount involved is substantial. All that could be suggested is to serve a legal notice to open up the doors for an amicable settlement.
