Daughters right over grandfather property

Hi we have some grandfather property am the only daughter of my father.did i have right on grandfather property? some body is saying only grandsons have right on them is it true,my father is not alive he has expired on 2013.here grand sons mean my father brother's son ,some of them are not caring to my grand mother who is alive

As per Hindu succession Act, when father is alive childrens are not entitled any right or share in the grandfather s property.,..,

Yes as per the law you can claim your father share in your grandfather property , All are equal before the law, it our fundamental right right to equality not only sons , daughter can also claim share in their ancestral property.
