You have asked just general question. You have given half information, if you want exact legal opinion over it, you have to share some more information. Until the document is verified and how the payment is transfer?

Dear Querist, Owner of the Property is one whose name appears on the Revenue records/ right of records or the registering authority. IT is not important who has paid money for purchasing but the name of the First Person on the document becomes the owner.
In your case, as the property is purchased in your father's name, he becomes the owner. Technically, if he doesnt makes a will or gift deed in your favour, and dies intestate (without writing will), you sister can definitely claim share in the property.

Please feel free to call us, if any further queries.

Since the property is in the father's name. Then as per law the daughter can claim the property of the father. Whether brother has bought it does not make a difference as the property stands in the father's name. The same can be disputed in court.
