Can sister claim on Land which is given by government to brother
28-Aug-2023 (In Property Law)
A brother acquired a land in a village from State government in year 1975 under schedule caste community. we belongs from Hindu schedule caste community. On those days, government was distribute some land to schedule caste community. After 1 year, brother has expired (year 1976). now this land is named to his wife & his daughter(she done this in year 2017). Is there equal right of sister on this land? Please suggest. Thanks.
Whose sister is your father's sister? If your father's sister, who was given land by the government then its part or not in this land is made. The land that your father had received does not form part of his sister. Don't worry

No, Sister dose not have right in brother's property. Need not to worried about any thing. sister have right in father's or mother's property only and that might be ancestral property. So If your sister gives you any legal notice than please reply with an expert advocate.

Married sister cannot claim any right on the land of his brother and she cannot infosearch right in a court of law because according to succession act sister is considered to be hiers of 2nd class with respect to her brother and wife and children of the deceased are considered to be the hires of first class therefore the wife and children will have a Priority right to claim the land which was held by there deceased father or husband
