31-Aug-2023 (In Property Law)
I am sigining a lease deed with an engineering company from Muscat. The owner lives in muscat and has asked his friend to sign the lease deed. Will this hold good tomorrow in case of any dispute. I want the owner to be responsible. What must I do??

You should ask for a authority letter given by owner to his friend`s name if the agreement is for 11 months. If it is for a longer period you need a power of attorney in that person`s name, and at least one person from his side signing the lease agreement.

Sir
You are signing the lease deed of a company. First you should see weather the person who is signing on behalf of the owner, is having valid authorization to sign the paper. Please check whether it is original of duplicate copy.

Otherwise let the owner come and sign the paper. it may lead to any problem in the future.
