Can my sibling contest a registered gift deed
16-May-2023 (In Property Law)
My late father has transferred his house with land in my name through Gift Deed registered in the Office of the District Sub-Registrar in 2012. Nobody stays there. I want to dismantle the house and make residential flats there engaging a promoter. Can my sibling contest that?
as per your sayings as your father has gifted you the land so you are the owner of the property and as nobody stays there at the residence as per law your siblings cannot claim nor contest what is your jurisdiction...
To give opinion, it is necessary to know whether it was self acquired property or within the definition of ancestral property. If you wish to take my Legal opinion professionally upon online payment, then can contact.
in ur query u neither state whether the whole property of ur father gifted to u nor u mentioned the property is undivided or not. so specifically mention that. for further discussion u can contact me.
