Can i refuse to sell my share of joint property ?

I have joint ownership of a house with a sibling. I live in the house and my sibling lives abroad. He wants to occupy the full house and wants me to sell my share to him. Can i refuse ?

you can sale the shares in the joint property your brother it is only upon your wish you may also not transfer this share to anyone also f you are not wish to sell you can demand IIT with partition as per law for the dividation ab you are share you can file partition suit if any problem arised in future please contact with me
