Can I claim share In my maternal uncle property

Hii, My maternal Grandfather is a retired govt. Employee, and has a good property and bank balance can I claim a share in my maternal Grandfather property. If yes then what is the procedure. Kindly help.
Your are not direct legal heir of your maternal grandfather rather your mother is his legal heir. She can claim her share in her father's property, along with all her siblings, each one share. She can file suit for her claim .
