Can we sell our ancestral property in parts without doing the diversion?
Yes. Every co-owner can sold his own un divided part of ancestral property.each and every co- owner can sold his share in parts.more than one co-owner can sold their shares jointy to anyone in parts also.
It completely depends on who is selling the property,if it is the entire family jointly selling a part of ancestral property then it can be sold, however if one of the joint holder intends to sell their share in the property the same cannot be sold as a demarcated area, but it is possible to sell the share without demarcation and the purchaser would then have to bring a partition suit.
