Builder not doing registration of the flat despite complete payment

Hello Everyone. I bought a flat in Faridabad in NCR through a reputed builder 2 years back. In spite of making complete payment 2 years back and doing multiple follow ups, the builder is not ready to arrange registration of my flat. What action I may take against the builder. Please suggest. Thanks

Hi, In response to your query, I would recommend our first and immediate step should be to serve a legal notice as soon as possible. Furthermore, if dispute is not settled after initiating first step then we will proceed by filing a civil suit as per facts and requirements before Civil, Public Utility or Consumer court. This is a clear-cut case of fraud and cheating. You have paid the money and he has not given the possession. After taking money and not delivering the product i.e. flat is a fraud and cheating. Yatish Kumar Goel, Advocate

It seems from the facts given here that, the builder is not doing registration. Is the property fully constructed and ready to be given a possession of? If so, you can file a complaint with the Economic Offences Wing. If there is a delay in construction and you want to seek refund or compensation for delay of possession , file a case with the jurisdictional Consumer Court.
